Helaine Brenner - Director/Teacher
"Morah Helaine" is ready to get back to her roots in Early Childhood! After 4 years teaching English in local Efrat elementary schools, she is excited to start working with younger children again! Prior to making Aliya in July of 2014, she was the proud owner/director of Gan Keshet, a home-based, Maryland State licensed preschool. Before that she worked in the Pre Gan at Yeshivat Rambam, enjoying the growth and nurturing of curious 4 year olds. She holds both the Maryland State Childcare Credential and is a licensed teacher in the State of Maryland for Pre-K through grade 3. She received a BSBA, cum laude, in Human Resources Management from American University, and an M.Ed in Early Childhood Education, Pre-K through Gr. 3, from George Mason University.

In her "previous life", Helaine worked at the Jewish Community Services of Howard County where she was the Coordinator of the Parent Resource Place, in charge of programming and Mommy and Me classes for young Jewish families, she worked as nanny, spent 10 years managing an independent children's toy and book shop, and worked for the Federal government. Helaine is a certified childbirth educator, taught childbirth classes and worked as a doula. Most importantly, she derives much nachat from her sons, Leor and Tovia, and is thankful for her supportive husband, David.
